Stowe Village was
settled in the early 1800s. This village location provides an opportunity to discover this world of
beauty and charm. From the
specialty shops, restaurants, art center, library, playhouse and craft shops,
you will stroll through 200 years of history. The
Helen Day Art Center and Library is steps from our front door and offers
exceptional exhibits and a quiet reading library. Use the village lighted
tennis courts or in winter take a spin on the village ice rink.
Enjoy entertaining live theater on Main St.
The
Stowe Trolley, which is actually a bus, runs summer and winter. In
summer the Trolley provides a one hour tour of Stowe - it is a wonderful
introduction to the Village, Town and folklore of the area.
In
winter, the Trolley provides a transportation service for locals and
visitors. For a small fee you can ride the trolley and leave your car at
the Inn. The Trolley stops just steps from our front door!
The
Stowe Congregational Church is one block from the Inn and hosts over 100
weddings each summer. This scenic New England church with the tall white
steeple is selected by many visitors who get married in Stowe. If you
are planning a wedding, consider renting the Inn for your special
guests. They will be able to walk to the church and enjoy the town from
our location.
